Mosaic Mural at the Magical Bridge Playground, Red Morton Park, Redwood City

This mosaic mural, completed in 2021, was a community project and involved hundreds of volunteers. During the pandemic we held multiple workshops, many times in the open, where people came in and worked on individual pieces that ended up in the mural.
The mural depicts California plants and animals, with three distinct layers: the ground, the water and the sky. You can see everything from insects, to large animals, trees, birds and much, much more.
It’s a tactile experience, with mosaics, mirrors and custom made ceramic pieces.
